The Old Japanese Broadcasting House of Taichung

Taichung Broadcasting Bureau was built in the 1930s  by the Japanese to broadcast news and radio across Central Taiwan. It features regular visiting exhibitions in Chinese art, culture and history every two months and entrance is fee. The building has a lovely atmosphere and it is walking distance to Taichung’s Yi Zhong Street night market and Confucius temple.

Getting There:

From Taichung Train Station walk up Taiwan Boulevard (台灣大道) passed McDonalds to Taichung Train Station Bus stop.  Take bus 81 all the way to Taichung Yi Zhong School (台中一中學校).  After you get off the bus, continue north up Shuang Shi Road (雙十路) then turn right on Diantai Street (電台節).  Broadcasting house is around 100m down the street on the right.
