The Biggest Night Market in Taiwan: Feng Jia

Taiwanese culture has truly integrated the night market and what better way to experience that by simply visiting one. Feng Jia has a huge selection of different snack foods, fashionable clothes and mobile accessories. There are over 1000 shops and stalls at the night market making it the biggest in Taichung (and many say Taiwan). If you like trying different kinds of local snacks, then you should certainly visit. You’ll need a whole evening to see all the different parts of the night market and it can get crowded. Up to 30,000 visitors are said to visit the night market each weekend.  Be aware that the last bus back from Feng Jia to the train station is at 10pm and may take up to 45 mins.

Do Try: Stinky Tofu (look for the shop with the long queue line and distinctive smell), baked Potato, duck meat sandwich, bloody rice cake, seafood (incl. octopus balls)
